Angelica Rolong Cormier Appointed as an Advisory Member of the State Bar of Texas Diversity in the Profession Committee

Angelica Rolong Cormier has been appointed as an advisory member of the State Bar of Texas Diversity in the Profession Committee. The committee examines the historical and current status of minorities in the legal profession, and to make recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding how the bar can take action to enhance employment and economic opportunities for minorities in the profession and to increase involvement by minorities in the bar.
Angelica realized her interest in family law while clerking for the Legal Aid Society of Lubbock after her first year in law school. In her third year of law school, she was selected to be a member of the Texas Tech Family Law & Housing Clinic. There, she assisted indigent members of the community in a wide range of contested and uncontested cases.
