Helping Families Move Forward with Less Conflict and More Control
I believe divorce does not have to be a fight or a war. My goal is for clients to walk away from the process having had a far better experience than they anticipated—one that minimizes conflict, reduces trauma, and allows families to move forward with confidence and clarity.
With more than 21 years of legal experience and over 19 years devoted exclusively to family law, I provide clients with a thoughtful alternative to the traditional, adversarial divorce process. My practice emphasizes settlement and collaboration whenever possible, guided by compassion, efficiency, and respect for the entire family. I am mindful that divorce is not just a legal matter, but a significant life transition, and I work intentionally to help clients create a stable foundation for the next chapter of their lives.
I represent individuals and families from a wide range of backgrounds, including professionals, parents, business owners, and retirees, who want to resolve family law matters efficiently and thoughtfully. Many of my clients seek a process that preserves relationships, limits financial and emotional costs, and avoids unnecessary court involvement. For those who are able to use it, I strongly support the collaborative family law process because it allows clients to maintain control over outcomes, address complex financial issues with transparency, and create parenting solutions tailored to their family’s needs.
Here’s how I help clients move forward:
- Ease the divorce process by meeting clients where they are. I listen carefully to clients’ goals, values, and concerns, provide steady guidance, and remain responsive and accessible throughout the process.
- Focus early on settlement and resolution. From the outset of a case, I work to identify opportunities for efficient resolution and avoid unnecessary conflict or delay.
- Help clients make informed decisions. I explain options clearly, explore possible outcomes, and ensure clients understand both the legal and practical implications of their choices.
- Incorporate a whole-person approach. As both a family law attorney and a certified life coach, I support clients not only legally, but also as they navigate the emotional challenges of divorce and plan for life after it.
- Minimize cost while maximizing value. I strive to effectively manage the cost of attorney fees and work intentionally to control costs, keeping clients informed and involved throughout the process.
- Maintain a respectful, constructive tone—even in difficult cases. While my practice emphasizes cooperation and settlement, my litigation experience allows me to guide clients effectively if more formal legal intervention becomes necessary.

Interests
When I am not practicing law, I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling. I value mentoring and supporting the younger generation and regularly participate in Bible study at my church. I also volunteer with local nonprofit organizations, particularly those that support individuals experiencing homelessness.
As a breast cancer survivor, I am especially drawn to opportunities to connect with and encourage others during their cancer journeys.
