Heather brings over a decade of experience as a family law paralegal to the Goranson Bain Ausley legal team. With a detailed and solution-oriented approach, she provides exceptional support and attentively addresses her client’s needs at every stage. Her responsibilities include drafting pleadings and discovery, communicating with courts and opposing counsel, attending hearings and trials, and managing deadlines efficiently.
Above all, Heather approaches each case with empathy and actively listens to her clients to better meet their needs. “Understanding the power of listening and showing empathy can comfort someone going through a difficult time,” she notes.
Heather is a Board-Certified Paralegal by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, has a Masters in Legal Studies from Pepperdine University, and is dedicated to advancing the paralegal profession in Dallas. She is an active member of the Dallas Area Paralegal Association (DAPA) and has held several leadership roles within the organization, including current President for 2025, President-Elect for 2024, Programs Vice President for 2023, Mentorship Chair from 2019 to 2020, and Membership Vice President from 2018 to 2019. Additionally, she has served in leadership positions within the Paralegal Division of the State Bar of Texas, including as District 2 Director since 2022 and Board of Directors Parliamentarian for 2024-2025, and Secretary in 2023-2024.
Away from the office, Heather enjoys giving back to the community. Since 2017, she has been a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Dallas.
