Strategic, Grounded Guidance for High-Asset Divorce and Custody Matters
Divorce can feel overwhelming–especially for high-functioning individuals balancing children, careers, and significant financial assets. I help clients navigate this uncertainty with a steady, practical approach focused on achieving outcomes that are not only favorable, but sustainable.
I represent professionals, business owners, and their spouses who want more than reactive litigation. My clients are thoughtful decision-makers–people who want to understand their options, evaluate potential outcomes, and move forward with clarity and control.
I believe that the strongest outcomes come from aligning legal strategy with a client’s real priorities. I work closely with clients to separate emotion from decision-making, helping them identify what is realistically achievable under the law and how to get there efficiently.
With a background in high-stakes litigation, I am prepared to advocate when necessary, and I am equally focused on helping clients avoid unnecessary conflict, minimize disruption to their children, and position themselves for long-term stability.
Here’s how:
- Clarifies what matters most
Works closely with clients to define priorities, whether related to children, financial security, or long-term stability–and builds strategy around those goals. - Brings realism to complex decisions
Helps clients understand the difference between desired outcomes and likely outcomes, so they can make informed, confident decisions. - Creates tailored legal strategies
Develops practical, individualized solutions based on each client’s unique circumstances, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach. - Prepares clients for every stage of the process
Draws on extensive courtroom experience to ensure clients know what to expect, reducing uncertainty and avoiding costly missteps. - Balances empathy with results
Provides steady, compassionate guidance while maintaining a clear focus on achieving meaningful, forward-looking outcomes.
Experience and Professional Credentials
Before transitioning to family law, Alina spent more than a decade as a prosecutor with the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office. She handled serious felony cases, including assault, family violence, and homicide, and served as lead trial counsel in numerous jury trials. This depth of courtroom experience allows her to confidently guide clients through litigation when it becomes necessary.
She was also selected to serve in a specialized white collar crime division, where she prosecuted complex financial cases involving hidden assets, fraud, and electronic data. This background provides a strategic advantage in divorce cases involving sophisticated financial issues, asset tracing, and disputes over financial transparency.
In addition, her work in family violence cases and a mental health specialty court program gives her a nuanced understanding of the dynamics that often underlie high-conflict custody and divorce matters.
Alina is fluent in Romanian and Macedonian, and conversant in Spanish.
A Perspective Shaped by Experience
Alina understands that divorce is not just a legal process, it is a deeply personal transition. As a single mother of two, she has firsthand insight into the emotional, financial, and practical realities her clients face.
This perspective allows her to connect with clients, navigating uncertainty, while helping them stay focused on building a stable and successful next chapter.
Originally from Romania, Alina immigrated to the United States with her family and grew up in Los Angeles.
Interests
Outside of her practice, she enjoys riding motorcycles, hiking, and spending as much time as possible with her daughter and son.
