About Andrew Tisdale

For many people, a divorce or custody case is the only serious legal matter they will ever face. Andrew Tisdale is a family law attorney at Goranson Bain Ausley who represents parents and individuals across Tarrant County in divorce, custody, and property matters. He works to benefit his clients from the very first meeting, giving them the reassurance that someone experienced is in their corner.

His practice includes divorces involving children, where parenting and financial decisions often intersect. Andrew helps clients look beyond the immediate conflict and consider what life will look like after the case is over. For parents, that can mean protecting their relationship with their children while recognizing that co-parenting often continues through graduations, weddings, holidays, and other milestones long after a divorce is final.

Andrew gives clients candid advice about what is realistic, what is worth pursuing, and where their resources are best spent. He helps clients weigh the potential benefit of a legal fight against its financial and personal cost so they can focus on the issues that matter most. His property division experience includes separate and community property issues, reimbursement and waste claims, and matters involving land and other significant assets. With a family ranching background, Andrew also understands that land can carry personal and family significance beyond its financial value.

Andrew is confident in the courtroom and prepares thoroughly when a case needs to be tried. But litigation is a tool, not the objective. He gives clients clear options for resolving their matters through negotiation, mediation or the courtroom and helps them determine which approach best protects their interests. When a reasonable agreement can achieve the right result while reducing unnecessary cost and conflict, he works toward resolution. When it cannot, he is prepared to advocate for his client in court.

Known for a strong work ethic and close, responsive involvement, Andrew stays actively engaged alongside clients as they make the decisions that move their lives forward. His goal is a practical result — whether that means a parenting arrangement that works for a family, protecting an important financial or property interest, or helping a client reach the end of a difficult divorce in a position to move forward.
