Goranson Bain Ausley Elects P. Lindley Bain Managing Partner

Elite Texas family law firm’s youngest managing partner drives innovation and builds on a solid history of leadership

A visionary leader who effectively engages, inspires and influences her colleagues, P. Lindley Bain, has been elected Managing Partner of top Texas family law firm, Goranson Bain Ausley.

“Lindley has forged a career path focused on delivering an exceptional client experience, which has made her a rising star and placed her on industry-leading lawyers’ lists,” said Curtis W. Harrison, the firm’s outgoing Managing Partner. “Her passion leads her to champion initiatives that leverage technology, maximize operational efficiency and provide the framework for a service delivery model that clients value.”

Bain was also a key driver with Harrison in the successful merger of Goranson Bain and Ausley, Algert, Robertson, & Flores in 2017. The merger brought together two leading Texas family law firms with long-standing records of successful and ethical representation of clients.

Lindley Bain. “We have faced the challenges forced by the pandemic head-on and stand stronger together for our clients, and as a firm for attracting, retaining and developing top talent.”

Bain will become Goranson Bain Ausley’s third managing partner, and at age 40, its youngest.

As the firm’s second female managing partner, she builds on a history of strong representation of women leaders. Her mother, Angie Bain, was a Founding Partner of Goranson Bain in 1987. Of the firm’s 25 partners, 14 are female, and 61% of equity partners are female.

Bain joined GoransonBain Ausley in 2007 and was named a Partner in 2014.

A Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, she is a Collaborative Divorce Texas member and was chair of the State Bar of Texas, Collaborative Law Section.

Bain has been selected to the Texas Rising Stars list, Thomson Reuters, 2010 – 2020, Up-and-Coming 100: Texas Rising Stars List, Thomson Reuters, 2017 – 2020, Up-and-Coming 50: Women Texas Rising Stars List, Thomson Reuters, 2017 – 2019 and has been included in The Best Lawyers in America© in the field of Family Law, Woodward and White Press, 2015 – 2021.

She earned a J.D. and M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University and a B.A. from Austin College.

Bain resides in South Austin with her husband and two children.
