GoransonBain Ausley had the privilege to speak at the 2019 Advanced Family Law Drafting course. This seminar was co-sponsored by the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Texas.
On Day 1, Partner Aimee Pingenot Key spoke on “Drafting Unique Enforcement Issues”; how to prepare and properly get your pleadings before the court and avoid relying on practice manual language. Aimee is on the cutting edge of changes in family law, serving on the State Bar of Texas Family Law Council legislative committee that shapes child support and possession policy. She is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and is trained in collaborative law.
Britney Harrison and Melanie Isaac co-presented “Roles of the Paralegal and the Attorney”, including working on your first case, delegating duties, and temporary orders, on day 2. Britney is the current president-elect of Texas Young Lawyers Association. Melanie Isaac is one of our Board Certified paralegals and is the current Family Law section chair for the Dallas Area Paralegal Association.
